The Student Room Group is the home of the UK’s largest student community - The Student Room, and our Social Learning Tools Division – TSR Learning. TSR Learning runs our social learning websites –  MarkedbyTeachers and Get Revising.

We are a passionate team, who know how important it is to give the best leg up to tomorrow’s teachers, leaders, parents and entrepreneurs. We’re based out of International House near the vibrant North Laine area of Brighton and a converted vinegar factory in Bermondsey.

Founded in 2001, we have grown the sites to become the UK’s fastest growing and largest student websites, receiving over 7 million unique visitors per month.

The Student Room

The Student Room is well established as the largest student community in the world and receives around 5.5 million unique visitors a month.

Students aged 14-26 meet to get support, socialise, discuss and proactively research their academic choices, career decisions and every other aspect of life. In the past we have hosted discussions between students and the Prime Minister, the leaders of all the main political parties, as well as Lord Browne and David Willetts. The Student Room was also named as the UK’s fastest growing online SME in 2011 by Experian.

Marked by Teachers

Marked by Teachers contains over 165,000 samples of student work from GCSE to university. So students can learn the most from it we put the brightest students in the country (recruited from TSR of course!) into panels to write thorough reviews on it.

We employ the most inspiring teachers to mark the work and provide fully annotated marked documents, as well as great advice on their subject areas.

Marked by Teachers gets over 1 million unique visitors per month and is endorsed by teachers and the academic community.

Get Revising

Get Revising is our most recent acquisition and adds a host of brilliant social learning resources that really help students learn.

Founded in 2008 by teacher Peter Langley, Get Revising has grown to offer over 600,000 students support with their GCSE and A Level exam preparation.

Students can create their own revision timetables as well as creating and sharing academic word searches, crosswords, revision cards, flash cards, revision notes and quizzes.

At Get Revising we’re proud to take the best learning methodologies and provide them to students in a way in which makes them really enjoy learning.
