Do you meet your students expectations?
A poll of current and past students by the Graduate Recruitment Bureau has found that 40% of students believe that their university is overrated.
Another 30% were more positive and believed that their institution was underrated, which leaves just under a third being satisfied that their university matched expectations.
With many universities set to increase fees considerably from 2012, it’s more important than ever that they meet students expectations. The first stage of which is knowing what those expectations are and then seeing how you can meet, or better, exceed them.
A quick look at the University Forums on The Student Room can provide a great insight into students opinion of your university as well as competitors. It’s where students are discussing the important aspects of going to university from the courses, to the halls of residence and everything in between like careers services and amount of tutor time.
Students trust the support and advice they get from their peers as many of them are talking from their own experience and 32% of undergraduates on the site have said that The Student Room directly influenced their choice of university.
