Dara Singh recommends the 21 Day challenge on BBC News

With many people facing redundancy the number claiming benefits is set to rise and with around £16bn going unclaimed every year it is important that those claiming for the first time are aware of their options and how they can get back to work as soon as possible.

Darra Singh, chief executive of Jobcentre Plus has been answering questions on the BBC Business News site regarding public queries about claiming benefits.
The preffered route for most is to get back in to employment as quickly as possible and Dara Singh recommends the use of The Student Room‘s 21 Day Challenge, produced in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions to offer practical tips and advice when it comes to searching for and applying for jobs – covering everything from writing CVs, and preparing for interviews, to the most efficient methods of finding those suitable vacancies in the first place.
