“We were really at the beginning when it was truly amazing” – Students pay their respects to Steve Jobs
Within minutes of the BBC announcing the death of Steve Jobs, the tech savvy youth that have grown up with some of Apple’s most successful innovations were paying their respects on The Student Room; many quoting the Apple product that they were using to do so.
This discussion continued throughout the night and is still going as students remembered the ‘Steve jobs era’ products and other successes he made in his life time.
Earlier in the year a student survey we conducted with the IAB found that Apple was the clear favourite brand for the youth market, and this reaction to the loss of its former CEO emphasises the level of engagement students have with the brand.
